He is a major prize winner in the Schoenfeld (China) & Gustav Mahler Prize (Czech Republic) international cello competitions as well as the AEMC (Italy) & Chamber Music Yellow Springs (USA) international chamber music competitions.

He is the cello professor at University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and coaches chamber music for Opus 1 Chamber Music School in addition to regular summer teaching engagements.

His arrangements have been commissioned and performed by Sphinx Organization, Atlantic Symphony, Rasa String Quartet, New England Conservatory, singer-songwriter Delfina Cheb, Music for Food, and others.

He is the founder and artistic director of Mellon Music Festival, and he directs CelloFest Houston and the chamber music program of Texas Music Festival.
